Could Kristin Davis be the latest celebrity to contribute to the ever growing catalog of celebrity sex tapes? Her people say "no," but the pics kinda say "yes…yes...YES!"


Earlier today a series of photos of a woman who looks a lot like Kristin Davis, with her mouth in close proximity to a certain male appendage, hit the web. And word on the "street" is the pics are stills from a sex tape that could hit the net any minute.


So is it Kristin Davis or a Photoshopped fake? According to the majority of posts and polls online, most people think the pics are phony. But as the story continues to gain traction, with Davis’ issuing a statement, more photos have hit the web. For what it’s worth, they look legit to us. But we’re no experts on sex tapes…


As the photos made their way round various celebrity blogs and news sites this afternoon, Kristin Davis' people denied the pics are indeed of the "Sex and the City" star, stating, "This is not Kristin Davis in the photo. There is no sex tape."


One possibly is that the pics, which are rumored to have been taken five years ago, may have been "leaked" to generate publicity for the upcoming "Sex and the City" movie. They would also serve to pull in some male viewers, to what would otherwise be considered a "chick flick." We bet there’s a good number of guys out there who aren’t to jazzed about the idea of accompanying their girlfriends to this film, which hits theaters in May.


As for Kristin Davis’ character in the series, Charlotte York, making a sex tape is something she definitely wouldn’t do. But Brooke Armstrong, the scheming headcase she played on Melrose Place? She’d be all about it!
