Biography of Katie CassidyKatie Cassidy has showbiz in her veins. As the daughter of former teen heartthrob David Cassidy, Katie spent much of her youth in the spotlight, routinely showing off her guitar and piano skills in local theater productions.
With her talent and pedigree it wasn’t long before the music industry came calling and Katie landed a deal with Artemis Records in 2002 to cover her father’s mega hit "I think I love You." Not surprisingly, the song helped make Katie a star, just as it had for David in the ‘70s, and she promptly landed a role on VH1’s Bubblegum Babylon.
Additional roles soon followed in popular shows and films, such as The Division (2003), Listen Up (2005), The Lost (2005), and 7th Heaven, where she played the recurring role of Martin’s classmate, Zoe. Katie’s increased exposure also led to multiple modeling opportunities and she cashed in during 2004 with high-profile campaigns for Abercrombie & Fitch and Guess?.
As impressive as her previous accomplishments have been, Katie’s career truly hit hyperdrive in 2006 thanks to coveted roles in Adam Sandler’s blockbuster comedy Click and the tense thriller When a Stranger Calls. Katie has also put in the hours for the comedies Walk the Talk (2006), You are Here (2006) and Live! (2007), as well as the remake of the sinister horror flick Black Christmas (2006).
Still want more Katie? You’re in luck! The comely Los Angelean recently crushed Jessica Simpson for the role of Lucy Ewing in the big screen adaptation of Dallas.
